Provide City Council input on a new Green Building Program. Considering <br />community design and development as well as development cost impacts and <br />consistency to the Revised Louisville Comprehensive Plan. This effort would <br />include working collaboratively with the Louisville Resource Advisory Board. <br />3. Review and Recommend Possible Revisions to Louisville’s Mixed Use <br />Development Design Standards and Guidelines. The design guidelines <br />should be reviewed and if appropriate revised to reflect the market studies <br />and tax implications related to re-development. <br />4. Review and Recommend Possible Revisions to the Downtown Sign Code. <br />Review and potentially provide recommendations for modifications to the sign <br />code portion of the Downtown Design Handbook for the downtown core area <br />in order to be more supportive of business identification needs while <br />preserving the historic character of downtown Louisville. <br />5.Historic Preservation – Joint discussion with Historic Preservation <br />Commission to provide recommendations for potential revisions in order to <br />help preserve historic character. <br />6.Subdivision Re-Plat Review Criteria – Review Planning Commission criteria <br />and process for reviewing subdivision re-plat requests of residential parcels in <br />order to determine whether the existing criteria and process overlaps and/or <br />conflicts with the criteria used by the Board of Adjustment. <br />7.Revisit Telecommunication/CMRS Facility Regulations – Chapter 17.42 – The <br />Telecommunication/CMRS Facility regulations were drafted over 10 years <br />ago when the wireless technology was relatively new and wireless service <br />was considered to be more a convenience and not a necessity as they are <br />today. Wireless technology has continued to evolve and Louisville needs to <br />be prepared to support new wireless voice and data technologies which might <br />require changes in regulations related to antenna placement and designs. <br />8.Amend the Louisville Municipal Code to Incorporate an Open Space Zone <br />Designation. The City’s Charter requires the City adopt an open space zone <br />designation into the City’s available zoning categories. If directed by City <br />Council, coordinate with Open Space Advisory Board to review and <br />potentially make recommendations for the inclusion of an open space zone <br />designation consistent with the requirements of the City’s Charter. <br /> <br />
