City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />August 11, 2009 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />approval from voters regarding the 1/3-2/3 division of sales tax between CIP and <br />General Fund. <br />Marsella stated that she is wary of such a change and worries that CIP work <br />would not be funded adequately in the future. <br />Sisk asked if discontinuing the recycle center would be a good idea or if it is still <br />being used now that the City has single-stream recycling. <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that use of the facility has remained <br />constant even with the new recycling program. <br />Sisk asked for any public comments. <br />Michael Menaker, 1127 West Choke Cherry Drive, stated that residents can band <br />together to save programs if they feel the loss. People will pay for services they <br />value.
