Brian is to work with Bridget and Mike Oliver on the Then & Now Photo Project; . Brian is to work with Bridget on preparing for a review of the photo policy and collections policy; . Sally has indicated her willingness to work on the Volunteer Appreciation brunch; . It was noted that Anne is believed to be interested in continuing with the History Book Club; . The designation of a coordinator and others from the Commission to work on the Oral History Project will be discussed at the next meeting due to the absences of some Commission members from this meeting. The Mine Marker Project has been a joint project with the Historic Preservation Commission, but as that Commission is currently dedicating much of its time to the new Historic Preservation Fund and how it will be administered, the Historical Commission decided not to designate any members to work on this project at this time. A decision about whether to have a booth for La Festa may be discussed at a meeting later in the year. VII. Election of Officers - Members discussed nominations for positions. The Commission elected officers as follows: Chair: Dan Mellish Vice-Chair: Anne Robinson Secretary: Diana Marino Treasurer: Dave Ferguson VIII. Treasurer's Report - March 2009 Previous Balance $1053.44 Expenses $2825.73 Receipts $2158.00 CDs $24,000.00 Checking $385.46 Savinas $1882.76 TOTAL $26,268.22 It was noted that 50 DVDs of the WWII film were purchased for $129.26 instead of just 25 due to a discount that was provided to the Commission.
