Rich recommends a glossary of terms <br />to help viewers better understand the information provided. <br /> <br />David: putting it all together <br />David will be working on putting all the information into a cohesive webpage or <br />pages. <br /> <br />Ryan: water conservation <br />Ryan was absent. Hopefully, we'll hear of his progress at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Beth: windows <br />Beth will be working on providing the different types of energy efficient windows <br />available. <br /> <br />It was noted that it would be good to have someone put together links re different <br />types of insulation. <br /> <br />City Rebates for Energy Conservation <br /> <br />Tom Phare noted that the city still offers water conservation rebates for the <br />following: <br />Low flow toilets <br />Efficient washing machines <br />Converting landscape to xeriscape <br /> <br />Tom said he would email the link from the City website to Annie. <br /> <br />Green Building Codes <br /> <br />It was decided that if the Building Code Variance Board wants to use LRCAB <br />meeting time to explore this issue, they may. LRCAB members may want to <br />attend Building Code Variance meetings if green building is on the agenda. <br /> <br />Plastic Bags <br /> <br />On Labor Day Weekend, September 5-7, LRCAB will have a tent at Community <br />Park. We will feature: <br />1. a powerpoint presentation on the devastating effect of plastic bags on the <br />environment <br />2. a powerpoint presentation with helpful hints for reducing plastic bag use, <br />e.g., "How to remember to bring your cloth bags to the store." LRCAB <br />members will spend 10 minutes at the August meeting putting together <br />this presentation. <br />
