David: putting it all together David will be working on putting all the information into a cohesive webpage or pages. Ryan: water conservation Ryan was absent. Hopefully, we'll hear of his progress at the next meeting. Beth: windows Beth will be working on providing the different types of energy efficient windows available. It was noted that it would be good to have someone put together links re different types of insulation. City Rebates for Energy Conservation Tom Phare noted that the city still offers water conservation rebates for the following: Low flow toilets Efficient washing machines Converting landscape to xeriscape Tom said he would email the link from the City website to Annie. Green Building Codes It was decided that if the Building Code Variance Board wants to use LRCAB meeting time to explore this issue, they may. LRCAB members may want to attend Building Code Variance meetings if green building is on the agenda. Plastic Bags On Labor Day Weekend, September 5-7, LRCAB will have a tent at Community Park. We will feature: 1. a powerpoint presentation on the devastating effect of plastic bags on the environment 2. a powerpoint presentation with helpful hints for reducing plastic bag use, e.g., "How to remember to bring your cloth bags to the store." LRCAB members will spend 10 minutes at the August meeting putting together this presentation.
