<br />COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br /> <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br /> <br />WATER COMMITTEE <br /> <br />DAN MATHES <br />WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 2009 <br />DRAFT WATER CONSERVATION PLAN <br /> <br />DATE: <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />SUMMARY: City staff has revised and updated the City of Louisville's Water Conservation <br />Plan, previously approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in 1996. The Plan <br />highlights current and future measures that the City implements to insure that the City utilizes <br />best practices, now and in the future, to wisely manage the City's water resources. The Plan <br />also addresses the regulatory requirements of 937-60-126 C.RS. <br /> <br />As part of the public planning process the Plan has been made available for Public comment <br />and will be presented at the October 8th Planning Commission Meeting. Upon incorporation of <br />comments/revisions into the Plan a final version will be presented to City Council for adoption. <br />The Council adopted Plan will be submitted to the Colorado Water Conservation Board as <br />required by Statute.
