<br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />between <br />Colorado Department of Local Affairs <br />Colorado State University Cooperative Extension <br />and <br />the City of Louisville, Colorado <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, hereinafter the Department, has <br />contracted with Colorado State University Cooperative Extension, hereinafter CSU, to provide <br />technical assistance in a 14-county arc~a of northern and eastern Colorado, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville, Colorado, hereinafter the Community, has requested <br />assistance through this program, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the nature and scope of1he services to be provided to the Community have been <br />agreed to, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department and CSU desire to assist local governments and political <br />subdivisions of the State that are expc::riencing social and economic impacts resulting from the <br />development of energy/mineral resoUlrce industries in Colorado, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to specify these services, the desired end products, and <br />the responsibilities of both the Deparlment and the Community in completing this project, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that: <br /> <br />1. Scope of Services: The project consists of one (1) element: the design, execution, data <br />entry, and data analysis ofa survey on open space issues for the City of Louisville. <br /> <br />Element 1: A survey will be designed on public attitudes regarding various open space <br />issues for the City of Louisville. The survey will be administered by telephone using a <br />random sample of respondents at a phone bank provided by the Community and located in <br />Louisville. The resulting data. will be entered and analyzed, and a report will be prepared. <br />Twenty copies of a written report, including seven color copies, will be printed. The <br />survey's results will be presented verbally at a meeting selected by the Community. <br /> <br />2. Department and Community Responsibilities. CSU will provide the personnel and <br />administrative oversight to ac1complish the objectives described in the Scope of Services. <br />It is anticipated that the progTlilIl1 will provide University students to produce the work <br />products outlined above. Said students will do all necessary research and prepare <br />documents in accordance with the needs and desires of the Community. Supervision of <br />the student resources and overall project responsibility rests with Lilias Jarding, a CSU <br />employee.
