AGREE:MENT FOR 2003 SERVICES This Agreement is made by and between the City of Louisville, Colorado (hereinafter "City" or "Louisville") and Eleanor E. Cabbage (hereinafter "Contractor"). In consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained, the parties agree as follows: 1.0 Purpose and Declarations.. 1.1 The City is authorized by law, including Colorado Constitution Article XIV, Section 18(2)(c), to contract with the Contractor for the provision of legally authorized functions, services, and fadlities. 1.2 The City is legally authorized to advertise the business, social and other advantages and attractions of the City, promote economic development for the City and its citizens, provide public recreation and entertainment, promote the vitality of commercial areas within the City, and generally promote the health, safety, prosperity, security and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City. 1.3 The Contractor has the ability to coordinate certain City-wide events which promote the City functions and services described in paragraph 1.1 and 1.2 of this Agreement. 1.4 The City and Contractor a!~ree to cooperate to accomplish the purposes set forth herein. 2.0 leJ:m. 2.1 This Agreement shall be effective on January 1, 2003, and shall terminate at 11 :59 p.m. on December 31,2003. 3.0 Obligations of the City. 3.1 The Ci1y shall pay the Contractor $20.00 per hour, but not to exceed a total amount of $13,000.00 for 8111 of her services under this Agreement. The payments shall be made every two wE~eks during the term of this Agreement, after Contractor provides the City a statemE~nt detailing for each preceding two weeks the number of hours worked and the event(s) on which the work was performed. If Contractor asks the City to contract with another person or entity to assist Contractor in performing the Contractor's obligations under this Agreement, the City may do so 1
