.AGREEMENT FOR 2002 SERVICES <br />This Agreement is made by and between the, City of Louisville, Colorado (hereinafter <br />"City" or "Louisville") and Eleanor E. Cabbage.(hereinafter "Contractor"). <br />In consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained, the parties agree as follows: <br />1.0 purpose and Declarations. <br />1.1 The City is authorized by law, including Colorado Constitution Article XIV, Section <br />18(2)(c), to contract with the Contractor for the provision of legally authorized <br />functions, services, and facilities. <br />1.2 The City is legally authorized to advertise ,the business, social and other <br />advantages and attractions of the City, promote economic. development for the <br />City and its citizens, provide public recreation and entertainment, ,promote the <br />vitality of commercial areas within the City, and generally promote the health, <br />safety, prosperity, security and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City. <br />1.3 The Contractor has the ability to coordinate certain City-wide events which <br />promote the City functions and services described in paragraph 1.1 and 1.2 of this <br />Agreement. <br />1.4 The City and Contractor agree to cooperate to accomplish the purposes set forth <br />herein. <br />2.0 Term. <br />2.1 This Agreement shall be effective on January 1, 2002, and shall terminate at 11:59 <br />p.m. on December 31, 2002. <br />3.0 Obligations of the CitT, <br />3.1 The City shall pay the Contractor $20:00 per hour, but not to exceed a total <br />amount of $13,000.00 for all of her services under this Agreement. The payments <br />shall be made every two weeks during the term of this Agreement, after Contractor <br />provides the City a statement detailing for each preceding two weeks the number <br />of hours worked and the event(s) on which the work was performed. If Contractor <br />asks the City to contract with another person or entity to assist Contractor in <br />performing the Contractor's obligations under this Agreement, the City may do so <br />1 <br />
