RECOGNITION OF SERVICE <br />WHEREAS, Glen Huey made the original proposal to the City of Louisville for a <br />Recycling Center and; <br />WHEREAS, Glen Huey subsequently served for 10 years on the Recycling Board and <br />Resource Conservation Advisory Board serving numerous terms as chairman and <br />recorder and; <br />WHEREAS, For a period of more than a year, Glen Huey through Town and Country <br />Disposal, hauled recycled materials from the drop off center when there were no <br />volunteer groups registering to do the work and; <br />WHEREAS, Glen Huey regularly donated the proceeds from hauling recycables from <br />the center to charities and; <br />WHEREAS, Over 17 million pounds of recycled materials have been processed through <br />the recycling center and; <br />WHREAS, Glen Huey's expertise, dedication, service, community pride and volunteer <br />spirit have made Louisville a better place for all to live. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Tom Davidson, Mayor of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado, do hereby commend the volunteer services of Glen Huey and <br />declare that Glen Huey be made an Honorary Citizen of the City of Louisville for now <br />and forever more. <br />Dated this 17 day of August, 1999 <br />Tom Davidson <br />Mayor <br />
