PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Michael Kirschbaum, General Manager of the Louisville Times, introduced himself to <br />Council. He encouraged Council to contact him with any comments, questions or <br />concerns that they might have regarding the paper. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Sisk reported that he and Councilman Mayer attended a meeting on Tuesday, September <br />1, 1999, regarding the boundaries of Monarch K -8 and the new K -8 school in Superior. <br />He explained that there would be three proposals before the School Board at their next <br />meeting on October 14, 1999. One is a plan for Superior's multiple housing residents and <br />the residents of west Superior to attend Monarch K -8 and residents of east Superior to <br />attend the Superior K -8 school. He explained that he expressed Louisville's opposition to <br />this plan and their support for the plan that would allow part of Rock Creek's residents to <br />attend Monarch K -8 with the balance of Superior residents attending Superior's K -8 <br />school. He reported that the plan that was supported by most of the individuals in <br />attendance was for the multiple- housing residents in Superior to attend Superior's K -8 <br />school and the residents of west Superior attending Monarch K -8. He explained that the <br />plan could be adjusted periodically.
