ORDINANCE NO. 1247, SERIES 1997, APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND DUANE DAUGHENBAUGH AND RUSSELL
DAUGHENBAUGH 1ST READING SET PUBLIC HEARING 1/21/97
Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1247, Series 1997, "An ordinance approving a lease
agreement between the City of Louisville and Duane Daughenbaugh and Russell Daughenbaugh."
Bill Simmons, City Administrator, announced that the City of Louisville did close on the purchase
of this 21.55 acres on Cherry Street as open space. This will approve the lease that had been
negotiated with the Daughenbaugh family. They will take possession of the property through April
1998.
Howard moved that Council adopt Ordinance No. 1247, Series 1997, set out for publication and set
the public hearing for January 21, 1997. Seconded by Lathrop. All in favor.
Sisk wanted insurance procured immediately.
ORDINANCE NO. 1248, SERIES 1997 AMENDING CHAPTER 2.32 OF THE
LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE THE SALARY OF THE MUNICIPAL
JUDGE 1ST READING SET PUBLIC HEARING 1/21/97
Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1248, Series 1997, "An ordinance amending Chapter 2.32
of the Louisville Municipal Code to increase the salary of the municipal judge."
Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that this ordinance would increase the salary of the
Louisville municipal judge by $100 /month to $15,600 annually, effective January 1, 1997.
Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1248, Series 1997, on first reading, set out for
publication, and set the public hearing for January 21, 1997, seconded by Sisk. All in favor.
DISCUSSION/DIRECTION TRAMMEL CROW MCCASLIN CORPORATE CENTER
PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION REPLAT AND PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Paul Wood, Planning Director, reported that this is for 26 acres north of U.S. 36 and east of Parcel
H, which is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Biella and is zoned Commercial Business (CB). The
project proposed three 100,000 s.f., three story office buildings and two pad sites. Phase I will
consist of two pad buildings (8,000 s.f. and 4,000 s.f.) and the north office building. Phase II would
be built over an undefined period of time based upon marketing conditions. The plan reflected
landscape corridors and trail connections to the Coal Creek Regional Trail System directly to the
south of the property. The 100 year floodplain as depicted on the site plan was not consistent with
the regulatory flood plain in staff s opinion based upon the flood insurance rate maps. Stars position
was that resolution of the Coal Creek Floodplain issue is critical prior to moving forward with the
Planning Commission process.
4
