Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that Resolution No. 12, Series 1997, is a resolution of eligibility
for the Daughenbaugh property, not a resolution of compliance. The following Ordinance No. 1249,
Series 1997, first reading of the annexation ordinance, addressed the 21.77 acre parcel that had been
recently acquired by the City of Louisville. The zoning of the south 90' of the subject parcel, will be
done by a separate ordinance, denoting it is available for right -of -way use.
Davidson called for Council questions or motions.
Mayer wanted a future discussion on what size Cherry Street would be. He wondered if 120' of right
of -way would be required.
Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that the four lanes of with median will have to taper down
as it makes its way easterly. Staff wanted to give flexibility in planning this, giving the Council some
options at that point. Right now they have left -in going in:i3 the Springs in the Manorwood Lane
development. It will depend on what the right -of -way is on the east and west side of this property.
Mayer suggested that, if the right -of -way isn't required along all of that, it could be reverted to the
park area.
Davidson suggested making this a topic item, Cherry Street and what it is going to be, at the next
Work Session.
Tom Phare stated that money had been budgeted for engineering and they could kick off the activity
with that discussion.
Davidson wanted it kicked off with that activity.
Levihn wanted a bike path or a walkway included.
Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 12, Series 1997, seconded by Howard. All in favor.
ORDINANCE NO. 1249, SERIES 1997 APPROVING AN ANNEXATION, KNOWN AS
THE DAUGHENBAUGH ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO
1ST READING SET PUBLIC HEARING 4/1/97
Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No, 1249, series 1997, "An ordinance approving an annexation,
known as the Daughenbaugh Annexation to the City of Louisville, Colorado."
Howard moved that Council adopt Ordinance No. 1249, Series 1997, set out for publication and set
a public hearing for April 1, 1997, seconded by Sisk. All in favor.
ORDINANCE NO. 1250, SERIES 1997 TO APPLY AND CONTRACT FOR BENEFICIAL
USE OF WATER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, A
6
