He thanked <br />Events Planner Kay Gazaway and Public Relations Manager Meredyth Muth for <br />coordinating the event. <br />Councilor Dalton arrived at 7:02 p.m. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 15, 2009 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />Deputy City Manager Balser reported on the September 15, 2009 transportation <br />meeting, where discussion centered on TIGER grants available through federal <br />stimulus funds. She explained 1.5 Billion dollars are available for transportation <br />projects. Boulder and Broomfield Counties, cities of Louisville, Westminster and <br />the Town of Superior, in cooperation of CDOT and RTD submitted an application <br />for the US 36 Project. The request is for 100 200 million dollars and includes 60 <br />million dollars in matching funds; 30 million from CDOT and 30 million from RTD. <br />She explained this project was a great opportunity to work with staff members <br />from towns and cities along US 36, CDOT and RTD. She stated it is an example <br />of good government and shared services. She expressed her honor on working <br />on the project. <br />Mayor Sisk recognized Deputy City Manager Balser for her work on the US 36 <br />Project and for the relationship /partnerships she developed with other entities. <br />
