Exhibit A General Terms and Conditions <br />1.0 GENERAL <br />1.1 Daily cleaning intervals apply to every scheduled visit of a facility. The <br />frequency column (FREQ) of the master cleaning specification will indicate <br />the schedule frequency for daily cleaning. For example, areas with 7X in <br />the frequency column are cleaned seven day per week including week ends <br />and holidays not specifically excluded in section 1.1. Areas identified as 1X <br />in the frequency column will be cleaned only one time per week or month as <br />indicated. The standard schedule for cleaning is Monday through Friday. If <br />a different schedule is required by the Owner, this will be noted in the <br />remarks session. City Hall, City Shops, Parks Admin, the Library and the <br />Police Department will be closed on the following holidays and will not <br />require additional cleaning: New Year's, Martin Luther King Jr., Easter, <br />Memorial, Independence, Labor, Veterans, Thanksgiving, Friday after <br />Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Recreation Center will be closed on the <br />following holidays and will not require additional cleaning: New Year's, <br />Easter, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The <br />Recreation Center is also closed for one week at the end of summer for <br />maintenance projects, at which time the Contractor will be expected to <br />perform deep cleaning of the facility. <br />1.2 If for any reason, beyond the control of the Contractor; i.e., foul weather <br />operations etc., certain areas cannot be serviced, the Contractor must afford <br />manpower to thoroughly clean these areas to standard level cleanliness <br />within a 24 hour period. This recovery effort will be within the contract price. <br />1.3 Minor emergency service required, while the cleaning staff is on the <br />premises, due to mishaps,- repairs, foul weather operations, accidents, etc., <br />shall be rendered without additional compensation. <br />1.4 All revenue from coin operated restroom dispensers will be turned in to the <br />Owner's designated representative. <br />2.0 SECURITY <br />2.1 Contractor's personnel working during hours of operaton are to wear a <br />uniform distinct and acceptable to the Owner. The uniform will have the <br />Contractor's name and will be worn at all times by employees onsite. The <br />uniforms shall be clean and presentable at the beginning of shift. <br />2.3 The Owner will provide the Contractor with written procedures for security <br />provisions to be observed within and outside of each building complex, <br />working within customer contact areas and all other situations felt to be <br />pertinent.
