ORDINANCE NO. 1384 SERIES 2002 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING CHAPTER 5.04 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED "BUSINESS LICENSES GENERALLY", TO PROVIDE PROCEDURES FOR REGISTRATION OF BUSINESSES WITHIN THE CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council desires to replace the City's current business licensing regulations, codified in Chapter 5.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code, with procedures and criteria for registration of businesses within the City; and WHEREAS, for such purpose the City Council desires to repeal and reenact Chapter 5.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Chapter 5.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled "Business Licenses Generally," is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows: Chapter 5.04 REGISTRATION OF BUSINESSES Sec. 5.04.010 Sec. 5.04.020 Sec. 5.04.030 unlawful. Conducting business without registration deemed Registration form. Authorization; investigations. Duties of finance director. Fee; term. Registration required for each place of business. Revocation. Each day's violation deemed separate offense. Sec. 5.04.010. Purpose of provisions. The purpose of this chapter shall be to require the registration of all business activities and enterprises physically located within the city and to provide the city with necessary information concerning the businesses within the city, including but not limited to the nature of the business operation, the number of employees, place of business, and emergency contacts, in order to protect the health, welfare and safety of the city's inhabitants.
