ORDINANCE NO. 1384 <br /> SERIES 2002 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING CHAPTER 5.04 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED "BUSINESS LICENSES <br />GENERALLY", TO PROVIDE PROCEDURES FOR REGISTRATION OF <br />BUSINESSES WITHIN THE CITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to replace the City's current business <br />licensing regulations, codified in Chapter 5.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code, with <br />procedures and criteria for registration of businesses within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, for such purpose the City Council desires to repeal and reenact <br />Chapter 5.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Purpose of provisions. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this chapter shall be to require the registration of all <br />business activities and enterprises physically located within the city and to <br />provide the city with necessary information concerning the businesses <br />within the city, including but not limited to the nature of the business <br />operation, the number of employees, place of business, and emergency <br />contacts, in order to protect the health, welfare and safety of the city's <br />inhabitants. <br /> <br /> <br />
