Contractor cleaned up 975 - 1000 units of dog waste in the off-leash area <br />at Davidson Mesa. <br /> <br />Board Updates <br />Aaron said that there is still black plastic tubing on Hillside Open Space. <br />Tom surveyed 22 people at the dog-off leash area and is tweaking the <br />data sheet to present to the OSAB. Tom indicated that the area is looking worse <br />and that it is a good time to view it. <br />Tom said that the weed-pull group met on Saturday and that there were <br />nine total people. They might begin calling themselves the Eradicators. Tom <br />was very pleased with the turnout and is hopeful for the future of weed pulling in <br />the area. <br />Tom rode around Hecla Lake and said that the seasonal employee <br />indicated seeing raptors in the area. <br />Aaron said that he saw a bald eagle in Boulder County. <br />Spencer asked what the status is for the Harper Lake to Davidson Mesa <br />crossing improvements. Ember will get an update from Public Works to see if <br />any temporary improvements will be made. <br />Justin went to a City Council meeting where Conoco Phillips made a <br />presentation and indicated that site plans would be submitted soon. <br />Truman indicated that he did not believe that there is a serious negative <br />view shed impact to open space. OSAB discussed the issue and agreed that <br />there is a visual impact that does not rise to the level to disqualify the location as <br />a suitable site. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />-Trail maintenance priorities <br />-Education campaign to teach understanding of why funding is necessary for <br />open space ahead of the tax vote <br />-New Master Plan Mission Statement <br />-Discuss budget shortfall and look at impact on Open Space including Youth <br />Corps <br />-Harper Lake / Davidson Mesa crossing improvements <br />-Tamarisk naming <br /> <br />Adjourn - Spencer motioned to adjourn, Truman seconded. Unanimous. The <br />meeting was adjourned at 8:54pm <br />
