.

Memorandum

To: Historical Commission Members
From: Meredyth Muth, Public Relations Manager
Date: October 21,2008
Re: Executive Director's Written Report

Facility Update
The painting project continues on the campus buildings. All lead abatement of the
Tomeo House is complete. Various fixes to the siding, windows, and doors have
also been completed as a part of the work. The back door to the Tomeo House
will also be replaced during the project. The sign painting on the Jacoe Store will
begin shortly after the rest of the painting is complete.

The contractors for the concrete work on the front steps of the Jacoe Store are
behind schedule due to weather delays, but the stairs should replaced by the end
of the month. The Museum will be closed for 2-3 days while the replacement
occurs.

A request for proposals the fire suppression project is almost complete and
installation is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Bench Plaques
The bench plaques have been ordered, copies of the proofs are attached. Each
plaque will cost $169 plus freight. Barring any problems with the vendor, they will
be completed by the end of the month. Once they are complete City Parks staff
will install them.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have related to these items.
