<br />Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />October 21, 2009 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />drink in the public areas of the Museum, the Museum Coordinator asked for <br />advice on whether to have the Tomeo House fully open to the public during <br />the Open House this year. The Commission suggested that tours of the <br />Tomeo House be made available during the Open House for people who <br />may be interested. <br />11. Ornaments made by Marion Junior will sell for $10 each. <br />E. Dan Mellish and Bridget Bacon will work on membership renewal notices to be <br />mailed in November. <br /> <br />X. Chairperson's Report <br />A. Jordinelli House <br />1. Several items on the volunteer task list have been accomplished; others are <br />in progress. The Museum Coordinator noted that the lack of storage space <br />for the Museum's collection is an issue affecting the future potential usage of <br />the Jordinelli House and the other Museum buildings. <br />2. It was noted that the house cannot be opened to the public without approval <br />by the City Manager because it would be considered a new program by the <br />City and would have an impact on the Museum Coordinator's limited hours. <br />C. Museum Campus: fire detectors, concrete work, and painting funded by the City <br />of Louisville are still in progress. <br /> <br />XI. Commission Comments <br />Virginia Caranci announced that after 30 years of service, she will not be applying <br />for another term on the Commission. <br /> <br />XII. Discussion items for next meeting: None <br /> <br />XIII. The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 PM. <br />
