To: Historical Commission Members

From: Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator

Date: November 12, 2009

Re: Activity Report

Activity Report

The following are some recent activities that may be of particular interest to the Commission.

In October, I attended a Volunteer Group meeting of the Association of Northern Front Range Museums
(ANFRM) with Sally Burlingame, Mary Kay Knorr, and Debby Fahey. It took place in Idaho Springs and
we were able to tour (and get ideas from) both the Heritage Museum and the Underhill Museum in Idaho
Springs.

1000 copies of the Fall 2009 issue of The Louisville Historian were printed.

Sales taxes collected for the third quarter: $12 paid to the City of Louisville and $16 paid to the State of
Colorado, on gross sales of $627.

Membership renewal notices for 2010 are being worked on and are to be mailed shortly.

A number of organizational meetings for the Holiday Home Tour have taken place, including meetings
with the DBA to coordinate downtown activities, the homeowners, and (soon to take place) the hosts who
will be volunteering in the homes.

Historical Museum Correspondence & News Coverage

Copies of recent publications from other museums and area historical organizations will be available to
view after the meeting.

Visitors Report & Tours

. Classes of students from both Monarch K-8 and Louisville Elementary toured the Museum.
. October visitors: 267
. YTD visitors (through October): 1600
