CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated` that staff received a notice that was sent to adjacent <br />property owners for a four acre parcel on the east side of McCaslin Boulevard, north of 7- eleven, and <br />south of Copper Ridge Apartments. Del Care and ALS had submitted an application to the City for <br />the approval of a PUD and Special Use Permit of a 50 bed facility to assist memory impaired adults. <br />They are sponsoring an informational meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Louisville Recreation <br />Center. He felt it would be of interest to residents in the Cherrywood Subdivision, especially South <br />Lark Street. Also, interviews for the Human Resources Director position had been scheduled for <br />Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24. Beginning this week, the City has contracted with a <br />firm to begin land surveying activities along Dillon Road, between 88th and 96th Street. The survey <br />will identify utilities, topographic features within the City's right -of -way limits along Dillon Road and <br />extending about 40' to the south. The survey is to aid in the selection of a preferred alignment for <br />a water line extension along Dillon Road from 88th to 96th Streets. Tomorrow he and the Mayor <br />would be meeting with representatives of the post office concerning the new post office construction <br />next year. Staff recommended that at the next Council meeting, October 21, that two items be on <br />the Agenda related to the disconnection of the Biella/Menkick property. The first would be a <br />resolution that would consider an amendment to the 1986 Annexation Agreement which annexed the; <br />property to the City of Louisville. The amendment would sever the 80 acres on the south side from <br />that annexation. In addition, staff proposed the first reading of the ordinance to disconnect that <br />property on the Agenda. Second reading would be on November 5, Wednesday. He reported that <br />at the next Worksesson the Budget discussions would be continued. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Sisk was concerned that there had been undue pressure on staff and the Planning Commission at the <br />last meeting to put together plans that were half -baked di best. He urged staff and the Commission <br />to not allow that to occur. <br />Howard and Mayer had their Ward meeting and there had been a number of requests and a petition <br />by neighbors concerning the flow of traffic through the area. He wanted to know if staff had arranged <br />a time for Police, Mayer and himself, and Planning to discuss this problem. <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that staff is compiling responses to the minutes taken at the <br />meeting. <br />
