ORDINANCE NO. 1376 <br />SERIES 2002 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />FREESTANDING BUILDINGS WITHIN DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE AND ADJUSTING <br />THE DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE PARKING IMPROVEMENT FEE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, C.R.S. §31-23-301 et seq. authorizes the City to adopt zoning regulations, <br />which shall, among other things, be designed to lessen congestion in the streets and facilitate the <br />adequate provision of public requirements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, C.R.S. §31-15-711 authorizes the City to provide for the construction, <br />operation, and maintenance of public parking facilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1287, Series 1998, and Ordinance No. 1341, Series 2000, <br />the City established new off-street parking requirements for Downtown Louisville and provided <br />that the requirements may be met in whole or part by payment of a parking improvement fee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend certain of the parking requirements for <br />Downtown Louisville and to adjust the amount of the parking improvement fee; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Subsection G of Section 17.20.025 of the Louisville Municipal Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows (words to be added are in underlined; words to be deleted are <br />s~eken t~h~eug~h0: <br /> <br />Sec. 17.20.025. <br /> <br />Parking standards designated for Downtown <br />Louisville <br /> <br />G. The parking requirement set forth in this section may be satisfied in whole <br />or part by the payment of a nonrefundable parking improvement fee in lieu of the <br />provision of off-street parking space. The parking improvement fee shall be <br />threeten thousand sixfive hundred dollars ($3,60010,500) per parking space. The <br />parking improvement fee shall be due and payable in full at the time that the first <br />building permit is issued for the construction, expansion or modification that creates <br />additional floor area, and in no event later than the time a certificate of occupancy is <br />issued for the building or use subject to this Section.
