ORDINANCE NO. 1333 <br />SERIES 2000 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.18 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO ALLOW ON-STREET PARKING PERMIT RESTRICTIONS WITHIN <br />DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE TO BE APPLIED ON SUNDAYS AND LEGAL HOLIDAYS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. 1288, Series 1998, and Ordinance No. <br />1297, Series 1999, established a permit system for on- and off-street parking within designated <br />parking permit zones and lots in areas of downtown Louisville; and <br /> WHEREAS, such ordinances are codified in Chapter 10.18 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, under Chapter 10.18, parking permit zones and lots are to be as designated by <br /> the City Administrator; and <br /> WHEREAS, section 10.18.010.C currently states that no parking permit restrictions within <br /> designated parking permit zones and lots shall apply on Sundays or legal holidays; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend section 10.18.010.C to permit the City <br /> Administrator to determine all hours and days on which parking permit restrictions shall apply. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. Section 10.18.010.C of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows (words to be added are underlined~ words to be deleted are <br /> 10.18.010 City Administrator authorized to designate permit zones and lots. <br /> C. In making any designation of a parking permit zone or lot under <br /> Subsection A or B, above, the City Administrator shall also determine the need for <br /> reasonable public access to parking in the zone or lot, and the manner and extent <br /> that it should be provided, along with all the hours and days on which parking <br /> permit restrictions shall should apply. If de---termined necessary_ or appropriate by the_ <br /> ~ Administrator such restrictions ma be a lied on weeken~ <br /> holidays: <br /> Section 2. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such <br /> decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br /> hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the fact <br /> <br /> <br />
