A.All solid wood fences four feet to six feet in height shall have one four by four wood post, or equivalent, every 30 square feet of fence area. B.For fences four feet to five feet in height, two horizontal stiffeners are required. The lower stiffeners shall be within 12 inches to ground level and the upper stiffeners shall be 12 inches to the top of the posts. C.For fences over five feet in height, three horizontal stiffeners shall be required, equally spaced from ground level to the top of the fence. D.All posts for fences of four feet to six feet in height shall be set in concrete at a depth of not less than 1 1/2 feet into the ground. Diameter of the concrete required under this section shall not be less than eight inches. E.All fences constructed under this standard must be kept in good repair. Section 10. Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled Uniform Code for Building Conservation, is hereby repealed in its entirety. Section 11. Chapter 15.40 of the Louisville Municipal code, entitled Uniform Solar Energy Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety. Section 12. Chapter 15.44 of the Louisville Municipal Code, entitled Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed in its entirety. Section 13. Chapter 15.48 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows: Sec. 15.48.010. Adoption. Pursuant to C.R.S. Title 31, Article 16, as amended: The National Electrical Code, 2008 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, 1 Batterymarch Park, P.O. Box 9101, Quincy, MA 02269-9101, is adopted by reference thereto and incorporated into and made a part of the Louisville Municipal Code. The purpose and subject matter of the National Electrical Code include minimum regulations for the practical safeguarding of persons and property from the hazards arising from the use of electricity and minimum standards relating to the installation of electrical conductors and equipment within or on public and private buildings and other structures, including mobile homes, recreational vehicles, and floating dwelling units, and other premises such as yards, carnivals, parking and other lots, and industrial substations. 18
