225-32. Location. The disconnecting means shall be installed at an approved, readily accessible <br />location nearest the point of entrance of the conductors either directly inside an exterior door at <br />grade level or at grade level outside of each building or structure served. This disconnect location <br />shall apply to conductors that pass through the building or structure in Article 225-31. <br />Sec. 15.48.080. Section 230-70(a) amended. <br /> Section 230-70(a) of the 2008 National Electrical Code is amended to read as follows: <br />230-70(a). Location. The service disconnecting means shall be installed at an approved, readily <br />accessible location outside of a building or structure at grade level. <br />EXCEPTION NO. 1: The service disconnecting means may be installed inside the building or <br />structure provided it is directly inside an exterior door at grade level immediately adjacent to the <br />entrance of the service conductors and metering equipment. <br />EXCEPTION NO. 2: A remote keyed switch may be installed in an approved location adjacent <br />to the fire department's emergency access to the building or structure, provided, ground-fault <br />protection for equipment is installed in accordance with the provisions of section 230-95. <br /> Section 14. <br /> If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such <br />decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br />hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the fact <br />that any one part be declared invalid. <br /> Section 15. <br /> Any person who violates any provision of this Ordinance shall be punished <br />by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment not to exceed one (1) year or both such fine <br />and imprisonment. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this <br />ordinance is committed, continued, or permitted by any such person shall be a separate offense. <br /> Section 16. <br /> The repeal or modification of any provision of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Louisville by this ordinance shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or change in whole <br />or in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or criminal, which shall have been incurred <br />under such provision, and each provision shall be treated and held as still remaining in force for the <br />purpose of sustaining any and all proper actions, suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the <br />enforcement of the penalty, forfeiture, or liability, as well as for the purpose of sustaining any <br />judgment, decree, or order which can or may be rendered, entered, or made in such actions, suits, <br />proceedings, or prosecutions. <br /> 20 <br /> <br />
