Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 19, 2009 <br />City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 <br />PM <br />Call to Order <br /> –Chairperson Mike Koertje called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. <br />Roll Call <br /> Commission Members Present: <br />Mike Koertje, Heather Lewis, Steven Williams, and Peter Stewart. <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Melanie Julian Muckle and Laurel Tofte <br />City Representatives: <br />Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Koertje asked if there were any modifications to the agenda as presented. <br />Hearing none, Koertje asked for a motion to approve the agenda. Lewis moved <br />to approve the agenda, Williams seconded the motion. It was unanimously <br />approved. <br />Approval of Minutes from September 21, 2009 <br />Koertje recommended a minor modification to page two of the minutes then <br />asked if there were other modifications. Hearing none, Koertje asked for a <br />motion to approve the minutes with the minor modification. Lewis moved to <br />approve the meeting minutes from September 21, 2009 with modification, <br />Stewart seconded the motion.It was unanimously approved. <br />Public Comments on items not on the Agenda – none <br />Public Hearing – Demolition Request, 701 Walnut Street <br />Application No. 2009-003-DEMO <br />Koertje asked members of the Commission if there were any disclosures prior to <br />the start of the public hearing. None were disclosed. <br />Koertje opened the public hearing and asked for the applicant presentation. <br />Brian Gary, the representative for the property owners, gave a presentation <br />regarding the structure. Gary stated they did not intend to demolish everything <br />on the property. They are willing to save all that can be saved.
