<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 15, 2009 <br />Page 7 of 11 <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk thanked the Water Committee and staff for their hard work on this <br />project. He asked about the plan for difficulties faced in installation in residents' <br />homes. Public Works Director Phare explained the contracted vendors are <br />trained to work well with these issues. Mayor Sisk stressed his desire the <br />customer service issues to be handled sensitively. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle shared Mayor Sisk's concern about customer service and <br />asked about time windows for installation. Ken Mason responded there was not <br />anything specific in the contract but it could be discussed and suggested <br />between two and three hours. Councilor Muckle suggested the window be only <br />two hours. Director Phare said installation time is half an hour and pointed out <br />evening and weekend work times were included in the contract. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve the agreement with Mountain States <br />Pipe and Supply to include installation and equipment, Non-Disclosure <br />Agreement and the purchase and maintenance agreement with Itron. Seconded <br />by Councilor Muckle. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of <br />7 -0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 43, SERIES 2009 - A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br />WATER, WASTEWATER AND STORM UTILITY FEES EFFECTIVE <br />JANUARY 1, 2010 FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Finance Director Kevin Watson stated the resolution proposes a 1.0% increase in <br />water rates and a 25-cent increase in monthly storm water fees for single family <br />accounts. This would raise the minimum water billing for each residential <br />account from $10.14 to $10.24. The residential sewer charge will stay the same <br />at $14.34 per month. A 25-cent increase in monthly storm water fees will <br />increase the single-family fee from $2.75 to $3.00. He stated the increases <br />would add approximately $42,000 to the 2010 Water Utility Fund revenue and <br />approximately $38,000 to the 2010 Storm Water Fund revenue and were <br />included in the 2010 budget. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked for Council comments and hearing none called for a motion. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Marsella moved to approve Resolution No. 43, Series <br />2009, seconded by Councilor Clabots. Roll call vote was taken. The motion <br />carried by a vote of 7 - O. <br />
