<br />Our Mission: <br />Acquire, conserve and restore Open Space for protection of natural and cultural resources <br />and provide opportunities for education, volunteering and appropriate passive recreation. <br /> <br />Our Vision: <br />An Open Space program funded for future generations that enriches the experience of <br />living in Louisville by providing opportunities for citizens to reconnect with nature and <br />their cultural heritage while also enhancing their mental and physical well-being. <br /> <br />OSAB concepts that are incollJorated into the above statements: <br />Acquisition <br />Protection/Conservation/ Preservation <br />Restoration <br />Education of wildlife and plants, agricultural practices and mining history <br />Volunteer opportunities <br />Recreation opportunities (healthy life styles) <br />Preservation in perpetuity/preservation for future generations <br />A space for reflection/spirituality <br />Enhance life in Louisville <br />Brief statements <br /> <br />OSAB concepts that were left out of the above statements: <br />Open Space that is in close proximity to citizens <br />Community buffer <br />Scenic views <br />Community supported agriculture <br />Provide access (implied through recreation) <br />Communication with and listening to the public <br />Creativity <br />
