Cultural Council
Agenda
DATE

VII. President's Report - Julie
Carol and Jim have finished their term on the LCC and will not return.

Young Writers needs an LCC organizer to work with librarian Denise
Brooks. Farren volunteered.

An end-of-the-year report is needed for SCFD, due in February, and
Susan volunteered to complete it.

Thanks expressed to all members and especially Frost for representing
LCC at Council meetings and to Julie S. and Kathy.

VIII. Treasurer's Report/Correspondence - Jiml Susan

Lynn Wooton moved to elect a new treasurer, Jim seconded, and the
motion passed.

Susan volunteered to act as Treasurer, all present were in favor, and Jim
handed off art center key.

Jim described Event Reports helps to estimate outlay for 2010. Looks like
$19,730 for 2010 net operating expenses and all events. Members
discuss using $5,000 as in the past, for Concerts in the Park and
Treasurer.

IX. City Staff Update - Kathy and Julie S.

Coal Creek Crossing event was very successful and a new cleaning
company will be cleaning the art center. Members discussed art center
facility use.

X. City Council Update - Frost

XI. Art in the Park - Maryan

Maryan has concrete pads but needs to know installation costs and
pedestals for smaller art, plaques, etc. The event may need to use fewer
sculptures (5 rather than 6), and artists may need to pay for pedestals.
Then, Art in the Park may be able to run within budget for 2 years, though
installation costs are unknown.
