RESOLUTION NO. 2 <br />SERIES 2000 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL REVIEW USE <br />FOR BLOCKBUSTER ENTERTAINMENT, LOT 6B, <br />CENTENNIAL VALLEY PARCEL H <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville City Council, a request for <br />approval of a Special Review Use (SRU) for Blockbuster Entertainment, located o,n Lot 6B, <br />Centennial Valley Parcel H, Second Filing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Fifth Amendment to the Amended and Restated Development <br />Agreement recorded on July 6, 1995 requires that standard restaurant and retail uses on Parcel <br />H are to be reviewed as a use by Special Review (SRU); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Blockbuster Entertainment is requesting a SRU to operate a audio/video <br />rental and sales business utilizing approximately 3,900 SF in a mixed use building on Lot 6B, <br />Centennial Valley, Parcel H, Second Filing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the user specific information <br />submitted for the SRU against the required Special Review Use Criteria found in Section <br />17.40.100 of the Louisville Municipal Code and found that the proposed SRU use is in <br />compliance with that required criteria regarding both internal and external site compatibility; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing concerning said Special Review Use, the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval to the City Council, with conditions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said Special Review Use should be approved <br />subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The applicant shall install a second stop sign at the crosswalk in the front of the store for <br /> northbound vehicles. <br /> <br />A note shall be added to the SRUplan that the window signage, both illuminated and non- <br />illuminated, shall be prohibited. Temporary,banners and, temporary signage are not <br />allowed on the building or on the lot at any time. <br /> <br />3. The applicant shall install drop boxes on both the west (fronO and east (rear) elevations of <br /> the building. <br /> <br /> <br />
