Also, Brian
Chamberlin and Sally Burlingame made plans to come to the Museum to examine the
candy counter and a stained glass door from the Rex Theatre. Other potential
donations from the donors are a clock and sconces that were used in both the Rex
Theatre and Senor T's Restaurant.

XI. Museum & Commission Projects
A. Anne Robinson gave a report on the funds raised from the Holiday Home Tour. In all,
the total amount brought in was $3,025.15 from ticket sales, event sponsorships,
donations, new memberships, and merchandise sales during the weekend of the
Parade of Lights and the Home Tour. It was noted that more complimentary tickets
were given out this year than in past years. Members of the Commission expressed
gratitude for the contributions of the DBA and Helly Duncan.

Bridget Bacon noted that additional copies of the house history handouts that she
prepared for the Home Tour would be made available after the meeting.

B. Pioneer Award Update: On behalf of the Commission, Dave Ferguson will present the
Pioneer Award to the family of Frank Domenico at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet
on January 27th at the Elks Club. The Commission approved the purchase of four
tickets to the banquet, at a cost of $280 (two for family members and two for
Commission members Dave Ferguson and Don Ross).

C. The 2009 membership statistics were part of the meeting packet. Bridget Bacon noted
that memberships and sponsorships brought in close to $9,000 to the Commission in
2009.

D. Anne Robinson gave an update on the History Book Club, which meets on the first
Wednesday of each month at 6:30 in the Library Boardroom. At its February 3rd
meeting, the group will be deciding the topics for the upcoming months, with the
focus being on Western history.

E. Bridget Bacon noted that last year, it was very helpful for the Commission to approve
at the beginning of the year funding of projects for the entire 2009 year. This year,
approval for funding for 2010 projects is being requested in four areas.

1. Printing Expenses: Bacon requested approval of $3,000 to cover the printing
expenses for The Louisville Historian for 2010. This is comparable to what the
Commission approved for the 2009 issues. Morrell Printing Solutions also applies the
mailing labels and barcodes. The Commission approved this expenditure of $3,000.

2. Museum Budget: Bacon noted that in 2009, the Commission approved $500 to
supplement the City's budget of $1 ,500 for the Museum and this turned out to be vital
for Museum operations. She stated that this year, due to budget cutbacks by the City,
the Museum's budget for 2010 is $1,100. She requested $1,000 from the Commission
to supplement the City's budget. This would help pay for such items as preservation
supplies (including acid free storage boxes) and office supplies. The Commission
approved this expenditure of $1 ,000.

3. Historical Programs: Bacon noted that the City Manager listed programming as one
of the areas where he would like to see collaboration between the Library and the
Museum. Bridget Bacon, Beth Barrett, and Library staff members recently met to plan
such programming. They would like to have three historical programs to be
cosponsored by the Museum and the Library in 2010, with all three to take place in the
first floor meeting room at the Library. The Library staff is making a request of funding
