APPROVAL OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Jay Berger, 1016 Main Street, Louisville, commended Council and staff for the prairie dog <br />relocation, which will begin shortly. He stated that residents are forming a volunteer group to assist <br />Wild Places with the relocation effort. Berger requested Council discuss establishing development <br />guidelines in order to provide boundaries and standards for developers to follow, especially with <br />respect to relocating wildlife existing in areas proposed for development. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - WATER WEEK POSTER AND ESSAY CONTEST AWARDS <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff presentation. <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated this year's National Water Week activities included a <br />poster and essay contest sponsored by the Public Works Department. The theme of the contest was <br />the water cycle and water conservation. The poster contest was open to all Louisville 3rd grade <br />classes and the essay contest was open to all Louisville 6th grade classes. Third graders from Coal <br />Creek Elementary, Louisville Elementary, and St. Louis School participated in the poster contest. <br />All posters are on display at City Hall, the Library, and the North Water Treatment Plant. Certificates <br />of achievement were presented to all students who participated in the essay contest. The winners of <br />both contests were recognized by the Mayor for their achievements.
