<br />By-Laws <br />of the <br />Louisville SUST AINABILITY Resouree CORservatioR Advisory Board <br /> <br />ARTICLE I <br />The Board <br /> <br />Section 1: The name of the organization shall be the "Louisville SUSTAINABILITY Resource <br />Conservation Advisory Board." <br /> <br />Section 2: The office of the Board shall be at such a place in the City of Louisville as the Board <br />may designate from time to time. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authority of the Board. The Board shall promote resource conservation and <br />conservation education among citizens, schools, agencies and businesses within the community <br />of Louisville. The Board shall goyem all operations of the Louisyille Recycling Program. The <br />Board shall have the authority to revise ITS By-Laws. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II <br />Members <br /> <br />Section 1: THE BOARD SHALL CONSIST OF SEVEN MEMBERS, ALL RESIDENTS OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE. Members of the Board shall be appointed by the City Council <br />and the Mayor. Each Member's term shall be for a period of four <br />years. Terms shall be staggered to provide for membership carryover, such that the entire board <br />is not composed of only new members. Terms shall expire on the last day of the calendar year of <br />the final year of the member's tenure. <br /> <br />Section 3: Residency requirements for Board Members. All citizen Board Members shall <br />live within the city limits of Louisville. <br /> <br />ARTICLE III <br />POSITIONS Oflieers <br /> <br />Section 1: Board members shall share responsibility for conducting the business of the Board. <br />Two positions, a Facilitator and a Recorder, shall rotate MONTHLY through the membership <br />such that all members shall have the opportunity to serve in each role, and no member shall <br />dominate either role. The membership as a whole shall decide which member(s) shall serve as <br />spokesperson(s) for the Board, OR REPRESENT THE BOARD IN OTHER ROLES at such <br />times as needed. <br />
