<br />BRaD <br />Meeting Summary <br />February 1, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />Retention Visit Reports <br /> <br />National Entertainment Network - Downsizing and changing business model <br /> <br />CADCO - Pleased with square foot cap and supports downtown <br /> <br />Colorado Plastics - Customized fabrication projects and succeeding <br /> <br />Net Devil - Growing business venture in PVP and MMO gaming, current large <br />contract with LEGO for on-line gaming. There are 10 job openings for engineers, <br />graphic designers, and computer programmers. The City has many offerings for <br />families, but less available for singles, who choose to live in Boulder or Denver. <br />The company leaders wanted to get involved in Louisville. <br /> <br />A comment echoed by all businesses in the CTC area was the need for more <br />restaurants in the area of CTC. <br /> <br />Economic Development Report <br /> <br />Paul Wood resigned from his position as Planning Director. Gavin McMillan, <br />Planner, will be available to attend meetings as needed. A new business, The <br />Alley Cat, is expected to open at 817 Main Street March 1 ih. The company is <br />interested in the summer patio program and will be offering live music. <br />B. Star visited with businesses that may be affected by the closing of Sam's <br />Club. Companies contacted as possible users of the Sam's space include Toys <br />R Us, Electronics store, Sporting Goods store. She has also contacted Trader <br />Joes. Intertek has not moved forward on their business assistance package at <br />this time. We believe that Mountainside Medical will be moving into Centennial, <br />and there is a new Coffee Roaster opening at Cherry and McCaslin. <br />ConocoPhillips will be on the Planning Commission agenda February 11, <br />followed by Council meeting. She expects two letters of intent for council on the <br />Post Office property. B. Star will be attending the ICSC Conference in May. <br /> <br />Next Meeting - March 1, 2010.
