Lisa Norgard, 729 Ponderosa Court, Louisville, CO stated she is the current President of the Ladies League at the Coal Creek Golf Course and was a member of the Focus Group. She commented the current WGP staff is doing a fine job of running the golf course and have addressed any negatives. She supported going forward with WGP and felt the proposed agreement is a win-win situation. She urged Council to approve the agreement. George J. Meng, 661 Augusta Drive, Louisville, CO stated he is the incoming treasurer for the Coal Creek Golf Course Men’s Club. He spoke in favor of the agreement with WGP. It will provide the City of Louisville with more money. He stated any concerns he has had were addressed promptly. Michael Deborski, 601 Pine Street, Louisville, CO, Old Style Sausage of Louisville explained his company has done business with the Coal Creek Golf Course in the past. However, two years ago the new Food and Beverage Manager informed him the golf course would no longer purchase his products. This was a directive of WGP and a corporate decision to not do business with local vendors. He requested language in the agreement to protect local vendors. Steve Anderson, 225 South Boulder Road, Louisville, CO spoke in support of the WGP agreement. He explained he was on the Search Committee for the selection of the current golf course management company. Six companies were interviewed and WGP was chosen because of their reputation for managing high quality courses. He felt the City Staff did an outstanding job negotiating the contract. He did not support an Advisory Committee as it would micromanage a private enterprise. He suggested the Coal Creek Golf Course have an email option to provide golfers to ask questions of the Golf Pro. Michael Menaker, 1827 Choke Cherry Drive, Louisville, CO addressed the financial aspects of this proposal and supported WGP providing capital improvements to the property. He questioned whether the Waste Water Utility Fund is the appropriate fund to lend money to the golf course. He felt it would be more appropriate for the Conservation Land Acquisition Fund to loan money to the golf course. He supported the agreement but urged City Council to reconsider loaning funds from the Waste Water Utility Fund. He did not support the 180 days opting out clause, without further explanation. Ken Gambon, 607 Augusta Drive, Louisville, CO, President of the Coal Creek Home Owners Association expressed his concern over the process.
