City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 16, 2010 <br />Page 14 of 15 <br />Councilor Dalton asked if Clearwire is a stand alone business. <br />Mr. McAlister explained Clearwire is a Y-Max, nation-wide business. The intent <br />is for use of wireless computers. Clearwire is a Sprint affiliate, with 51% <br />ownership belonging to Sprint whereby a lot of Sprint’s data streams will drop <br />into Clearwire. Clearwire meets all FAA, FCC and Federal mandates. <br />MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved to approve Resolution No. 6, Series 2010, <br />seconded by Councilor Clabots. All in favor. Absent: Councilor Muckle. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1567, SERIES 2010 – AMENDING TITLE 17 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE CREATION OF <br />st <br />VESTED PROPERTY RIGHTS – 1 Reading – Set Public Hearing <br />03/02/2010 <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1567, Series 2010 and noted this is a <br />proposed amendment to Article 17, the zoning regulations. The regulations will <br />be forwarded to the Planning Commission on February 25 for consideration. <br />Their recommendation will be forwarded to Council for the March 2, 2010 <br />meeting. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1567, Series 2010 on <br />first reading, ordered it published and set a public hearing for March 2, 2010, <br />seconded by Councilor Sackett. All in favor. Absent: Councilor Muckle. <br />CITY ATTORNEY’S REPORT <br />City Attorney Light reported he sent City Council an update on the Hamon <br />litigation. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Councilor Dalton addressed the Medical Marijuana Dispensary issue discussed <br />at the State Capital. He was unsure whether the Council would know the <br />legislator’s decision prior to the expiration of the City’s moratorium. He <br />suggested extending the moratorium by three months. <br />Mayor Sisk reported the Water Committee met on Friday, February 12, and the <br />City’s has an ample supply of water in storage. He noted the wettest months in <br />Colorado are in March and April. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella reported the Consortium of Cities is conducting a <br />special meeting on March 3 to discuss the Medical Marijuana Dispensary issue. <br />îè <br /> <br />
