She explained there have been
heating problems in the common area and kitchen. Don stated there have been heating issues for 3
months. At first maintenance staff thought the problem would be completely resolved with the
replacement of a condensation unit and replaced that unit. Onc19 that was replaced they found out there
were more issues. There are heating units in each of the units, which are in stock and can be quickly
replaced. The h19ating unit below the kitchen area was a special unit that was a special order that had to
be manufactured. After some additional delays the unit has been replaced. Some of the heaters in the
common area have not been working. The one will be replaced and the other is turned off per a tenant's
request. They will check all of them prior to ordering new units. Long term solution is to replace the
entire heating and cooling unit.

Parking has been an issue also. Tenants were told they cannot load under the shelter where there isn't
any ice. Yesterday, Mary Jane Johnson, BCHA staff member, was in that area unloading. According to
the residents, she didn't know anything about this change. She believes tenants don't feel it has been

G:r

Post Office Box 471 Boulder, Colorado 80306 (303) 441-3929
TDD Colorado Relay 1-800-659-2656
