Davidson called for the City Clerk to read the Executive Session Guidelines Statement. <br /> <br />Dave Clabots, City Clerk, read aloud the executive session guidelines. <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council adjourn into Executive Session to discuss legal consultation on <br />pending litigation - Colony Square LLC, vs City of Louisville, with the City Attorney, seconded by <br />Mayer. <br /> <br />Council adjoumed for an Executive Session. <br /> <br />Davidson called the meeting back to order. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney, reported that during the Executive Session the Council discussed and had <br />legal consultation regarding the pending lawsuits of Colony Square LLC versus the City of <br />Louisville. The lawsuits are filed in Federal and State District Court. Legal questions and legal <br />strategy regarding that litigation were discussed. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF <br /> AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, reported that the Post Office project is currently in Washington, <br />D.C. for approval. The Postal Service is optimistic that will happen this month, and hope to close <br />on the property within the next 30 days. He reminded Council of the Downtown Design Guidelines <br />workshop to be held on Monday, August 31, 1998. He reviewed the agenda for the August 11, 1998, <br />worksession. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayer voiced his support for an ordinance limiting the amount of time on commercial PUDs and <br />requested discussing such an ordinance at a future worksession. <br /> <br />Levihn requested discussing downtown parking at a worksession in the near future. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that the City has been the only one doing anything about parking downtown. It has <br />been a matter of getting the downtown businesses to participate in a solution. <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br /> <br />
