<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 2, 2010 <br />Page 12 of 12 <br /> <br />City Manager Fleming explained the reduction cut the fireworks, the Street Faire <br />and Parade of Lights contribution and reduced Fall Festival funding by $1,000. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle preferre!d to have a 4th of July fireworks and a shorter Fall <br />Festival. Mayor Sisk explained the 4th of July events are more expensive <br />because of buses rentals and shutting down the golf course. He suggested <br />public funding for the fireworks. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella inquired about the tuition reimbursement budget. <br />Human Resource Managl3r Hix explained the budget was cut to $5,000 and the <br />remaining funds have alrE~ady been allocated to employees. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle's friendlly amendment failed for a lack of a second <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 5-0. Absent: <br />Councilors Dalton and Yarnell. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />No items report. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella will attend a Consortium of Cities Special Work Session <br />on Medical Marijuana Dispensaries on Wednesday, March 3. Chief Goodman <br />and Deputy City Manager Balser will also attend. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Balser reported an ordinance to extend the moratorium of <br />Medical Marijuana Dispensalries will be on the Council Agenda for first reading on <br />March 16th. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Clabots moved for adjournment, seconde by Councilor <br />rnell.
