City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />April 27, 2010 <br />Page 3of 3 <br />Mayor Sisk thanked the OSAB members for their dedication and service to the <br />community. <br />Update/Discussion –Horticulture & ForestryAdvisory Board <br />Mayor Sisk welcomed the members of the Horticulture and Forestry Advisory <br />Board(HFAB).Chair Mike Frontczak introduced fellow HFAB members Meredith <br />Eddy, Theresa Rounds, Matt Tepe and Ellen Toon. <br />Members reviewed their 2009 accomplishments and 2010 goals: <br />2009 Accomplishments <br />2009 Arbor Day Celebration <br />o <br />New tree identification signs at the Arboretum <br />o <br />Educational programs <br />o <br />2010 Goals <br />2010 Arbor Day Celebration <br />o <br />Educational programs <br />o <br />Utilize low cost trees from Boulder County Tree Farm <br />o <br />Additional fund raising for the Arboretum <br />o <br />Continue discussions related to landscape maintenance on HOA <br />o <br />and commercial properties <br />OSAB members highlightedtheir new tree protection guidelines during <br />construction. <br />Council members noted to need for additional training for residents on water <br />management. <br />Mayor Sisk thanked the HFAB members for their dedication and service to the <br />community. <br />City Manager’s Report <br />City Manager Malcolm Fleming went over the advanced agenda with the Council <br />noting that the June 22 Budget Retreat is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM. <br />Mayor Sisk adjourned the meeting at 8:55 PM. <br />Submitted by Meredyth Muth <br />April 28, 2010 <br />
