<br />Senior Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />Old business: <br />Because of budgetary concerns we will only be able to schedule three trips per <br />month--at least using the bus. If we do not get 14 persons on the trip, a van will <br />be <br />used as the bus is much more expensive. Also, the van can only be used in <br />Boulder county, because of the age and condition of the van. <br /> <br />New business: <br />It was suggested tha the May trip change from Red Rocks to the Wildlife <br />Sanctuary in Keenesburg. In June we are going to Murphy's in South Boulder for <br />lunch and for dinner--the Neighborhood Restaurant in Arvada. Possibly we could <br />go to Red Rocks this month. <br />In July we are going to Bubba Gumps for Lunch in Denver and the Northwoods <br />Inn for Dinner. It was also suggested that we go to St Malo's/Fawnbrooke at that <br />time. <br />In August, we will go to the Buckhorn Exchange in Denver for lunch and possibly <br />The Table Mountain Inn in Golden for dinner. Our trip that month will be to the <br />Pikes Peak Cog Railroad. <br />Some suggestions down the road include: The Fort, Boulder Dinner Theatre, <br />Pagliacci's, the Longmont Theater, and the Hazel Dale Mushroom Farm. <br />Katie was going to check on the Longmont Theater and also reminded us that <br />the week of February 22 is restaurant week in Colorado. Prices are better then <br />and we could pick a ritzier restaurant for less. <br />Katie mentioned that the Platinum Membership at the Rec Center is doing wee. <br />They have collected over $2K so far. She also mentioned that they were looking <br />at new programs--i.e. computer training for seniors. Larry mentioned a program <br />proposed by Bob Pierce that deals with funerals etc. Selena was going to contact <br />the Funeral Society of Colorado. <br /> <br />Discussion items for next meeting: Our next meeting will be on May 14, 2010 <br />at 1 :00 PM. <br />It will cover our fall and winter schedule.
