Donovan Dan White <br /> Dennis Drumm <br /> Chairman called meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. <br /> Motion to accept minutes of last meeting made by Howard Berry and <br /> seconded by Chuck King. All in favor. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Memo from Leon Wurl : State & County Hiway Recommendations <br /> City of Lafayette Hiway Recommendations <br /> Minutes of Urban Renewal meetings, July 25, 1973 and August 15, 1973 <br /> Minutes of Parks and Recreation meeting, August 2nd, 1973 <br /> Minutes of CAC meeting August 17, 1973 <br /> Virgil Donovan made the motion to accept correspondence and Chuck King <br /> seconded. Correspondence accepted as presented. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Budget: Proposed 1974 budget reviewed. The $31,000.00 item for Pro- <br /> fessional services was discussed briefly and Dennis Drumm explained <br /> that this amount included working drawings of CBD and possible study <br /> of Industrial site. Chuck King made the motion to forward budget <br /> request in the amount of $35,900.00 to City Council. Bob Sneddon <br /> seconded the motion. All in favor. <br /> Hiway Recommendations: Reference to Mr. Wurl's suggestions. <br /> ITEM 1. 4-laning of 287 from Brootfield to Lafayette. All members <br /> in agreement. <br /> ITEM 2. 4-laning the by-pass of 287 around Lafayette. A motion was <br /> made by Howard Berry that Planning commission go on record as opposing <br /> using Hiway 42 as a by-pass since this will cause problems with our <br /> students getting to Centaurus--at S. Boulder Rd. and Hiway 42. Should <br /> this location be approved,proper provisions for entrance and exit onto <br /> the Highway -ie overpass, cloverleaf etc. must be provided. Chuck <br /> King seconded this motion and all were in favor. <br /> ITEM 3. Signals at South Boulder Road and Hiway 287: Commission <br /> decided this should read: Signals at South Boulder Road at Hiway 42. <br /> Also Highway 42 at Highway 287. <br /> ITEM 4. This recommendation should be put in County recommendations. <br />
