Two of which follows
1. Health requiraaents 'msks raw water taps a potentially hazardous
situation. e water will have a bids range of turbidity and cannot
be guaranteeThd against contamination.
2. The hydraulics of this particular calm ere not suited to allow con-
sistent pressure at these taps without interfering in the regulation
of the water treatment plant. It appears that the hydraulic grade line
falls bel-+ these tap elevation* when the altitude valve at the
plant is we open. 'this, however, cannot be verified without sur-
veying the line and running through head loss calculations all the
way along the pipe.
It resins an adainistratiw decision whether to maintain taps on the raw
water pipeline. Such taps, if maintained should be metered with the re-
ss•rvatioen that cansistont pressures are not guaranteed.
sincerely,
Alit• 404.
paw Frazier
OF/al
.. v ti .. • c „ F . . - . s . e . ,
1035 COFFMAN STREET LONGMONT,COLORADO 00501 PHONE 303 704-6b10/motro 534 4422
1010 SOUTH CASCADE AVENUE MONTROSE,COLORADO$1101 PHONE 303 24S-4400
+sr ws y 1 earth fi AVENUE LOVELANND.COLORADO a0631 PHONE 303 0(7-4815
