Absent councilman Donovan. Also present were City Administrator Wurl, Attorney Norris, City Treasurer 'lesson. Absent City Clerk McNulty. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: Councilman Jensen moved that the minutes of last meeting be accepted as presented. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. Motion carried. CORRESPONDENCE: Councilman Jensen moved that correspondence be accepted and placed under proper heading of business. Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. Motion carried. COUNCIL /TENS Councilman King reported that the Planning Commis- P. & Z. REPORT sion made a recommendation that City Council author- , is. the split legal description of Wood Brothers request for a utility easement. Planning Commission also requested that the lights at Memory Park be turned off earlier, except for thoaenecesaary for lighting the sidewalk - Urban Renewal to be contacted regarding this. Planning Commission also approved the Industrial Study to be done by Oblinger-Smith at a cost of $5,500.00, to be done in 2 phases. $4, 000.00 for the first phase and $1,500.00 for the second phase. They wish to recommend to City Council !.hat they author- ize this study to be done. Council decided to act on the study at a later date, along with the Wood Brothers request. Mayor Caranci requested a letter be sent from Planning Commission as to their recommendations on these two items. CHURCH SITE City Administrator Wurl reported that at the time WOOD BROTHERS Wood Brothers was annexed they agreed to at aside a 3 acre site for a Church site, At this time he passed around a plat of the site. Administrator Hurl then explained the First Methodist Church would like to have this site, and if this was possible they would swap the old site adjacent to Memory Park for the new site made available by Wood Brothers. We are requesting of Council your approval of the new Church site as platted by Wood Brothers. Secondly, does Council agree it is in the City's best interest to acquire the old Methodist Church site. It is the opinion of the staff that the old Church site could be used perhaps as a museum or even a library.
