HURL, CITY ADMINISTRATOR ' <br /> FROM: DAN WHITE, CITY ENGINEER <br /> DATE: DECEMBER 4, 1974 <br /> SUBJECT: LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF SEWAGE PLANT <br /> EFFLUENT AT THE PLANT AND AT THE POINT OF DISCHARGE <br /> TO THE STREAM <br /> LECHATE AT URBAN WASTE RESOURCES <br /> SEWER PLANT EFFLUENT: <br /> Review of the report made by the Boulder County Health Depart- <br /> ment indicates that the Louisville sewage treatment plant is well <br /> within parameters set by the State of Colorado. Th' plant also <br /> ee44 the requirements of Environmental Protection Aoencv discharge <br /> permit, which is in the process of being issued. The standards a- <br /> dopted by EPA for J:1y 1 . 1977 are not complied with except in <br /> the area of fecal coliform removal. Fecal coliform removal is <br /> accomplished by increased chlorination. <br /> The plant is portaging well at this point but remember it is also <br /> operating at 65% capacity. <br /> DISCHARGE AT COAL CREEK: <br /> The plant discharge does not increase the coliform count in the stream <br /> past the standards outlined for sewage plant effluent for July 1, 1977. <br /> DISCHARGE TO COIItINITY DITCH FROM URBAN WASTE RESOURCES: <br /> The leachatt is within the acceptable standards of the Colorado <br /> Water Pollution Control Agency. <br />
