Leon Yuri, City Administrator
City of Louisville
749 Baia Street •
Louisville, Colorado 10027
Aye; Coedeemation of Lots Adjacent to
Parkwood, Piling 12
Dear Lion: •
A number of days ago, I picked up the approved plans
for the grading work which we propose to accomplish in
connection with the future development of Packwood, Tiling
12. These plans were accompanied by the requirement that I
sign a letter which, in part, contained a standard statement
to the effect that any work done by Mood Bros. Hares, Inc.
prior to the approval of the Final Plat of said subdivision
would be at our own risk and subject to any changes which
may *Dour as a result of the hearings yet to be held.
However, I am most dimply concerned with the last two
paragraphs of the letter, which was initiated by your City
*nginssr, Mr. Dan White. These paragraphs tended to sound
a warning that the City might be extremely reluctant to
consider coadamnatias of the Hsrpel and Patete lots which
would possibly be necessary before Wood Pros. could accomplish,
the drainage work s000rding to the present plans.
I believe you indicated to am same time ago that the
City would support us in condemnation of these lots if such
became necessary, you and I both realised at that time, of
course, that the authorisation to condemn must cons from City
Council, and I did not interpret your statement as being the
final word on the subject. That is not the problem. The
Problem, as I see it, is that we may rec+ive approval of our
plat subject to completing the drainage work as it is designed
and then be forced to pay an exorbitant price for the two lots
which we will need in order to accomplish said drainage work.
Our position in the matter is -that we are planning to offer
the !torpid* and the Patetes an amount of now perhaps 101 or
151 in excess of the value that will be reached by our appraiser,
..f R .
