Mr. Burl stated that the budget for Parks & Hec under consulting fees was cut $3,500 since the staff felt that Mr. Drumm oould do the consulting for that department. Councilman McDonald stated that she felt that Iit. Chenoweth and Mr. Drumm could work together and that this would also give the LUBA Hoard a chance to ti=t *r: know Mr. Drumm. She also stated that the timing was but and that with the C.D. application it might put a big load on Mr. Drumm as the new Director. She stated that the salaries also bothered her. She felt it best not to take any action until HUD has responded to the situation. Councilman Domenico stated that he was not satisfied with the problem. Be stated that he was not satisfied with Mr. Chenoweth and salaries and that he could not see keeping both person on. Councilman Domenico stated for the record that he did not approve of trans- portation expenses. Mr. Lundberg stated that transportation is not traveling to and from the job, but from the job to meetings, etc. that pertain to the persons job. Councilman DiLorenzo asked what time period there would be for the transitional period. Mr. Lundberg stated that he felt a e0 day period would be reasonable and Mr. Chenoweth has agreed. Councilman Caranci asked why such a long time. dr. Lundberg stated that although the application is turned in there still may be some matters involved with it that will take more time. Councilman DelPizzo asked if that was a regular 40 hour a wack job. Mr. Lundberg stated that it was not, but a job that may require more hours or less. He stated that he knew that the staff and director could be doing more work. -6-
