<br /> SSC?IOA 7. That the Municipal Coda of the City of Louisville,
<br /> Colorado, is hereby amended to add the following Sections to Title
<br /> 5.28 for the licensing and regulation of messes* parlors.
<br /> Section 7. License Required.
<br /> It shell be unlawful for any person, partnership, association,
<br /> firm, or corporation to render or permit to be rendered messes*
<br /> 'wireless, or to permit to be engaged in, conducted or carried on,
<br /> in or upon any premises within the City, the business of a message
<br /> parlor or establishment within the City without first obtaining
<br /> a licensee issued pursuant to the provisions herein.
<br /> Section 2. Definitions.
<br /> As used in section, unloose the context otherwiae requires=
<br /> A. "Apprsntics*::amans•;a :person twenty-one years of ago or
<br /> older, employed by a message parlor or message establishment and
<br /> working under the direction of a licensed message therapist for
<br /> the purpose of learning the methods and practice of massage. No.
<br /> message apprentice may independently practice the acts of massage,
<br /> but he may assist the the therapist in the acts conetituting the
<br /> practice of massage under the immediate personal supervision and
<br /> employment of a message therapist, but such aide may assist only
<br /> whil the massage therapist is personally present with the patron,
<br /> and such side may not perform message.
<br /> S. *Massage• means pressure upon, friction against, stroking,
<br /> rubbing, kneading, or other manipulation of the body by mans, with
<br /> or without apparatus, including, but not limited to, vibrators',
<br /> infrared heat, sun lamps, and external baths.
<br /> C. •Massage Parlor* or *Massage Establishment* means an
<br /> establishment or place of business where any person, association,
<br /> firm, or corporation engage■ in, conducts, carries on or permits
<br /> to be engaged in, conducted or carried on say business of manipulation
<br /> of the body by any means of massage.
<br /> D. *Message Therapist* means any person twenty-one years of
<br /> age or older who has graduated from a recognised school as defined
<br /> herein, who administers to another person, for any fors of con-
<br /> sideration or hire, a message, alcohol bath, electric or magnetic
<br /> massage procedure, manipulation of the body, or other similar
<br /> procedure.
<br /> Z. *Operator* means any parson, partnership, association,
<br /> firm, or corporation who owns, operates, or menage. a massage parlor
<br /> or message establishment. A manager of a massage parlor or estab-
<br /> lishment must be twenty-one years of age or older.
