Wurl, Manager City of Louisville 749 Main Street Louisville, Colorado 10027 Dear Leau From time to time various members of the Public Employers Group have talked with you about possible participation of Louisville in the PEG effort. 1 wanted to renew that invitation and indicate that according to our adopted dues schedule (s copy of which is Included) your 1973 dues would be UN should you want to join. As you know, PEG has been in operation in an expanded sense for about nine months. While this letter is not meant to be • year end report, I thought It might be well to recount some of our accomplishments to date and some goals for the future which were discussoo at the list Board meeting. Both might help In your favorable consideration of the 1973 dues. One of our goals has been data collection analysis and information exchange among the members. To date, we haves • Created a regular newsletter covering the status of local labor relations issues as well as State and Federal actions which could have direct impact on the members. • Created and are continually updating and maintaining a comprehensive library used as a basis for an inquiry service. The library contains pertinent labor relations materials including existing contracts, personnel rules and regulations. • Developed and disseminated special reports including an analysis of costly police personnel practices. • Worked closely with CML and Denver Career Service on the total compensation wage, salary and fringe benefit survey utilizing formats developed by PEG in 1973. • Worked closely with related agencies to coordinate efforts including CML, Colorado Public Personnel Directors Association, the Industrial Relations Research Association and National Public Employer Labor Relations Association.
