Cons Tavoni spoke against the putter in of meters stating that they have paid their share and did not feel that they should have to pay for the growth. He stated that if the City wants water meters, then they should pay for them. FOR: Mk. Joe Dalby spoke in favor of the ordinance and felt it the only way to really have water conservation. Me stated however, that he would like to see some type of discount for the senior citizens. Steve Anderson spoke in favor of the water meters and felt that it should be the individuals responsiblity to have it installed. Re did not feel that the funds should be taken out of new tap F... There were no other audience comments COUNCIL COMMENTS and discussion was turned over to the council. Councilman Caranci asked if the City put in for the senior citizens would it include their rentals. Mr. hurl stated that it would be their homes only. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did not like the bonded indebtedness that the City would have and felt some of the matters described in the grant/loan could be delayed until the City had sufficient funds to pay for the repairs. Councilmen DiCarlo stated that at first he felt it should be the responsibility of the home owner, however, now he fees that it would bit beneficial to pull $230 from water taps and use those funds for the repayment of the meters. Councilman Kilker stated that all the people he has talked to about the meters is not against the metering, but the installation fees.
