Joe Dalby spoke in favor of the <br /> ordinance and felt it the only way to <br /> really have water conservation. Me <br /> stated however, that he would like to <br /> see some type of discount for the <br /> senior citizens. <br /> Steve Anderson spoke in favor of the <br /> water meters and felt that it should be <br /> the individuals responsiblity to have <br /> it installed. Re did not feel that the <br /> funds should be taken out of new tap <br /> F... <br /> There were no other audience comments <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS and discussion was turned over to the <br /> council. <br /> Councilman Caranci asked if the City <br /> put in for the senior citizens would <br /> it include their rentals. Mr. hurl <br /> stated that it would be their homes <br /> only. <br /> Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did <br /> not like the bonded indebtedness that <br /> the City would have and felt some of <br /> the matters described in the grant/loan <br /> could be delayed until the City had <br /> sufficient funds to pay for the repairs. <br /> Councilmen DiCarlo stated that at first <br /> he felt it should be the responsibility <br /> of the home owner, however, now he fees <br /> that it would bit beneficial to pull <br /> $230 from water taps and use those funds <br /> for the repayment of the meters. <br /> Councilman Kilker stated that all the <br /> people he has talked to about the meters <br /> is not against the metering, but the <br /> installation fees. <br />
