ORDINANCE NO. 588 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SECTION OF THE <br /> LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING BARBED <br /> WIRE FENCES WITHIN THE CITY. <br /> WHEREAS, the present ordinance makes it unlawful for the construc- <br /> tion or maintenance of a barbed wire fence within the city; and, :•:_•-- <br /> WHEREAS, there are various areas of agricultural and industrial <br /> land within the City of Louisville which may require or would be conducive . . <br /> to the use of barbed wire fence. • tt41 <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 8.36.010 of Chapter 8.36, Title 8 of the <br /> Louisville Municipal Code Is hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 2. The following section is hereby added to Chapter 8.36, <br /> Title 8 of the Louisville Municipal Coda: <br /> 8.3 6.010 Prohibited. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to construct or maintain within <br /> the city any fence, cellar, or window guard containing barbs, barbed <br /> wire, sharpened nails, or any other pointed or sharpened thing, or <br /> metallic substance, except as follows: <br /> A. Barbed wire fencing is permissible in industrial areas when <br /> placed atop other fencing at a minimum of six feet off the ground. <br /> B. Barbed wire fences are permissible in agricultural areas. • <br /> C.
